The Priest's Door | |

A small door set in the south wall of the apse, was used
for the priests to enter and leave the sanctuary. This is
just another example of how the priesthood and the laity used to separate themselves.
Note how the cutting the soil away from the walls to stop rising damp has left the door sitting half a meter above the new ground level. |
